Universal Car Rental - September

I made it a year, or close enough. I am out of here. I quit!!! My boss is so focused on my 27% market share and doesn't see the 32.8 million that I brought in this month alone. In fact in the year that I have been here I have brought in a total of $233,571,117. And that is with a market share that is just above a quarter of the market. But now that the district has some money tucked away, they can start to really focus on the market shares, but they are going to have more compitition seeing that I am taking the Regional Manager job!! Good luck.

Universal Car Rental - August

Well we made up last months dip. In August we brought in 30.8 million. Yes our market share fell by 1% down to 28%, but we are making more money in this district than ever before. I am going to stick to my guns. Next month I am going to keep on the same track. And If my boss isn't satisfied, well I just got a job offer from a competitor to be regional manager!!!

Universal Car Rental - July

ouch. That was not a good conference call. I feel lucky to still have a job. In July our market share fell from 33% to 29%. And on top of that, we only brough in 28.3 million. I know that that would be a great month for around here, but because the growth line only went up 300k this month it doesn't look very good! I don't know how much longer I can take this presure! My boss is driven, and he is going to run me over!

Universal Car Rental - June

Sweet! Our market share went up to 33%. Sure it is only 1%, but hey, it is going up! That helped with this months conference call! The other thing that helped was the 28 million that my two stores brought in. I have stayed steady on the original line of keeping the capacity utilization close to 100%. The demand for our cars is still high, and until that changes I will continue.

Universal Car Rental - May

In Miami, in the month of May we made 7.9 million and our market share there is 39%. In Orlando we made 15.8 million and our market share there is 29%. Overall we have pulled in 23.8 million and our market share is now down to a scary 32%. I hope that this doesn't ever below 25% market share, because I am afraid if it does I will be looking for a new job, even though I am getther the numbers and goals that my boss is giving me.

Universal Car Rental - April

I have been here now for 6 months and during my monthly conference calls I get praise for my steady net profit growth, this month it was 22.1 million, but then I get my head chewed off because my market share is now 34%. I try to defend myself with the capacity utilization numbers are still 100% or better. But it doesn't really make a difference. I am not sure how much longer I can take the beating!

Universal Car Rental - March

18.8 million this month. That is tripple what we made when I started here. I'll take that. Still our utilization is at or above 100% in all four catogories, weekends and weekdays in both Orlando and Miami. I am really starting to worry about the market share which has fallen now to 36%.

Universal Car Rental - February

I have kept the same line in trying to keep our utilization close to 100% and raising prices to keep it below 110%. In Feb. we pulled in 16.9 million. I haven't moved to many cars around, and I don't think that I will now that all four areas are at or above 100% in capacity utilization. And with the line of rising profit, our market share has also again dropped some. It is now around 37%.

Universal Car Rental - January

Well my drive the bottom line is still working, I think that I may be on to something. In January we made 14.7 million. This is a steady growth, though our market share fell to 40%. I am going to guess that this may be a steady trend if I stay on the same line.

Universal Car Rental - December

Because the method of trying to keep our capacity utilization close to 100% by raising prices I did the same in December. We made 10.1 million. And as great as that is, our market share has fallen from 45% when I took this position down to 42% currently. But the demand is still high for our cars.

Universal Car Rental - November

As the newest DM in the Universal Car Rental team I have been asked to turn the Florida area around, specificily the Orlando and Miami stores. I am more worried about the net profit then the market share. Three out of four areas, Weekends and Weekdays in both cities, were above 100% of our utilization I have raised the prices. And we started off with a good growth of 6.7 million over all.
